Abu Dhabi’s retail and entertainment sectors are set to receive a further boost following the historic announcement of the first ever centrally located mall in the heart of the UAE capital. The Dh1.4-billion City Centre Al Jazirais a joint venture between the Middle East, Africa and Asia’s leading retail giant, Majid Al Futtaimand Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club, home of the current Arabian Gulf League champions.
The mall will include approximately 153 retail and service stores spread across 215,000 sqm of built up area, this will meet the needs of approximately 1 million residents of surrounding communities in Abu Dhabi. The construction of the new mall is certain to create a growth in real estate expenditurein Abu Dhabi; the quality and locality of amenities play an important role when starting your search for properties for sale. The mall will also house Carrefour Hypermarket, 15-screen VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet, alfresco dining options, City Centre Clinic and a fitness centre.
